Notes

  • The CATS team is going to update this dashboard every Friday. This change aligns with ODH and local health departments reporting the data weekly.

  • These data and figures are presented for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY .

  • COVID-19 case counts and rates are not specific to school districts or actual buildings. They are reported for the POPULATION RESIDING WITHIN A SCHOOL DISTRICT ATTENDANCE ZONE .

  • All COVID-19 information presented is based on the of data received from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). All case data are presented by REPORT DATE . The report date is the date when a new case of COVID-19 is reported to ODH.

  • For more information about this dashboard and data interpretation guidelines, please view this brief video tutorial.

  • COVID-19 case counts and rates DO NOT INCLUDE THOSE RESIDING IN CONGREGATE CARE SETTINGS, LIKE NURSING HOMES .

  • A COUNT is the actual number of people infected with COVID-19. A RATE is the number of people infected with COVID-19 for every 100,000 people in a defined population. For example, a COVID-19 case rate of 100 for Franklin County means that for every 100,000 people living in Franklin County, 100 are infected. Rates are useful for comparing different populations or geographies (for example, school districts of different sizes).

  • Student absences, staff absences, and student nurse visits data (if available) ARE PRELIMINARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE .

Case Rates for School District Attendance Area and County

Notes: There are two different rates shown in the boxes below. The underlying data for each rate is the same and the main difference between the rates is the number of days that is used in the calculation. The two boxes below contain rates that allow for comparison between geographies with different population size. This is NOT the number of cases in the district or the county.
These two rates are useful when comparing data in this dashboard with data from other local, state and federal websites. Please note that the date range, reporting lags, and criteria used to calculate the number of COVID-19 cases may explain differences between the rates reported here and other dashboards/reports. Also, note that the rates reported here are based on cases reported to health departments and are NOT cases within a school district's building.

14 Days Rate (Among School Attendance Boundaries)

The 14 day rate for the school district is based on COVID-19 cases reported by individuals residing in the school district attendance area the last fourteen days. Similarly, the 14 day rate for the county is based on cases among residents anywhere in the county reported to public health during the past 14 days.

7 Days Rate (Among School Attendance Boundaries)

The 7 day rate for the school district is based on COVID-19 cases reported by individuals residing in the school district attendance area the last seven days. Similarly, the 7 day rate for the county is based on cases among residents anywhere in the county reported to public health during the past 7 days.

Age Distribution (based on last two weeks of COVID-19 case data)
